ABOUT ME

I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Elizabeth Rubin, but I go by Eli. (Like the Book of Eli). I was born and raised in a suburb in Kansas and adored my quiet, cozy life. I was a competitive gymnast my whole life until transitioning into pole vaulting. Super random, right? My life got even more random when I was recruited to pole vault at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would leave my charming Kansas hometown; but, I decided to take a leap of faith. I spent 4 years at USNA and commissioned as a US Navy Surface Warfare Officer. I served for 5 years on board ships deploying to countries around the world. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I was sad to say goodbye to; however, the choice to join the civilian world was the right life path for me to take. 

BALD & BOUJEE is truly my passion project with the hopes of sharing my experience of being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I hope you enjoy browsing my site and all of the content I have to offer.
